We had planned to have Billy on. Unfortunately, his mgmt was out of the country as I understand it and the card filled up so quickly.
Billy has a deal with Strikeforce and they are kind enough to have dialogue with us about him being on the July show.

I apologize for any misinformation.


I can say that we potentially have some very exciting fights on tap for July's show. That'll be July 19th..fans mark your calenderds and other promoters schedule your shows around ours to try and jam us up..nothing new.

hey christian thanx for clearing that up. i think its great the way PFC leaves the fighters their options, kinda like how elite xc doesnt lock in there fighters. i would like to see the sport shift in this direction, more like boxing where you have the different orgs and their titles (WBC, IBF, WBA, etc.) but the fighters have the freedom to fight where they please until its time for a title defense.

I was just trying to fill in the blanks. You have a right to your opinion. I doubt you would ever see a fight with Poppies, though. Not that he wouldn't fight you, but just it wouldn't make any sense. You can see that as a business person, right?

Poppies would fight a pack of rabid dogs if they stole his hot cheetos..He and Hit boy would never fight because Poppies is a 155 lb fighter. he has taken fights at 165-170 out of necessity.

Poppies is managed by MMA INC, who also manages Urijah Faber, Scott Smith, James Irvin, Bo Cantrell, Dave Espinosa etc..so they make his decisions but he and Hitboy's careers won't ever cross paths.

I've never know Poppies to be that way at all and I like to think I know the guy pretty well. Anytime I'm at Valley Fight Club and he comes through, he wants to take time out of his training to help me. I think that's pretty cool, since I'm just starting in the sport and he has taken some interest in helping to making me better. Same can be said for Mickey.

I've always known Poppies to be very humble and respectful, but I know the guy will fight anyone and he is very confident in his abilities.

I wouldn't always listen to things I "hear". I've heard that HB is the biggest prick in all of MMA, but that's not how I know him. Before you come on here typing about making a big scene at PFC 2 and calling out the Martinez brothers on a forum, you should have probably just talked to them face to face. But again, this is all just hype, right???
