Is there just 1 ultimate winner for all 3 weight classes or are there 3 winners, 1 from each weight class? If there is just 1 ultimate winner how is the winner picked? Points? Most subs? etc. How long are the matches?

And if this is single elimination, 8 men per/weight, and 3 weight classes that is a total of 9 matches for all 3 weight classes, and this is going to occur from 11am to 4pm? 5 hours for 9 matches? So do the math, are these 30 minute matches? lol, just curious, I Have never seen a tournament run this slow.

Bullet call RangelI left you a message. Did you get it. World grappling games is going to have myself and rudini fishman a wander braga brown belt in a pro superfight at best of the west in long beach the same weekend. It was suppose to happen in milwalkee two weeks ago, but with travel and the request to have it in long beach. we decided to do it there instead. We are 1-1 against each other in competition on the same day at best of the west 1 year ago. Both matches went to double ot sudden death. I do believe I won the second match with a take down during regulation that I didnt receive points for, because they said he had a hold of my head when I took him down or some bs. It doesnt matter because im tapping his ass this time anyways.

I left sammy a message to call me. What do you guys have in mind? I saw the date of the tournament and said shit...seen this post and said F$%K bad timing.

There is the smoker at samarui dojo the week before that we could get some work in. Hit me back and let me know what you guys where thinking. If it is interesting enough maybe we can still make something happen. bullet

What Happened To The Other Grappling League That Was In The Works? Some Of You All Know What I'm Talking About. What's Going On With That?

We had 1 meeting, I think because of the holidays, etc. we all got busy with other things. The only club reps that showed were from New Era and PMA. Or perhaps prior experiece with the buffet scared everyone else away. I think we got a lot accomplished in the time we were there. Tosh? Seo? any other comments?

Kanklekiller

I think HB represented, but he didn't get included because he took his plate to the buffett line and "grazed" rather than filling it up and returning to the line one plate at a time. All he did was fill it up, eat on the spot, and start filling it up again, repeated numerous times till the angry owner came out an yelled at him, "No refund, no more food, you, get out! Get Out! Fat ass you eat too much, get out! We're closing, maybe for good after all you ate, get out and never come back!"

What's the alternate list look like? Has the brackets changed at all??

Sam
04-25-2007, 06:38 PM
Yes The Brackets have changed, and some new additions have been added that should make the brackets even better.

First bracket, Randy Muira PMA, Rolando Villasco Oakdale MMA
Craig Wallace Dave Camirillo Ju Jitsu, John Reedy Team Kihon
Gigo Jara Team X, Dominique "fallen Angel" Robinson
Justin Smitley Oakdale MMA, Shawn Klarcyk Team Garage

Next Bracket, Paul Estrada Team Garage, Filberto Hernandez Sin-cal MMA
Danny Trajillo Oakdale MMA, Oscar Martinez Pacific Coast MMA
Jesse Rangel Ind. Grappling, James Maddalon Ralth Gracie Ju- Jitsu, Patrick Gonzalez S.T.A.C.T House, Shane Stewart Kihon

Final Bracket, Ron Hulsley, Junior Corria Sin Cal MMA, Andy Macarrone Kihon
Frank Theofanopoulos Oakdale MMA, Jaime Jara Team X, Sal
Sandivol, Anthony Ruiz Kihon, Robert Zimmerman Sin-Cal MMA

So there you have it; Peace and Good Luck, Watch out for Rolando In my opinion he is one of my sleeper picks, Dont know much about James Maddalon From Ralth Gracie Academy, he is a purple Belt, as for the Light heavy's you can pick em, not me, one thing for sure the "Last Man Standing" Will Definately earn that $500.00 And the Belt.

Big Fight Fan
04-26-2007, 01:34 AM
That's cool, a Ralph Gracie purple belt, a Dave Camarillo student, and Fallen Angel have entered the tournament! It was already good and now its gonna be even better. Oh to let you know Fallen Angel goes before his first name and he is from the Cesar Gracie Fight Team. Rolando is a sleeper huh? I heard the Miura guy is too so that should be a good match! So how does it work I see there are four brackets...are the people who's names are next to each other facing and is the winner of bracket 1 facing the winner of bracket 2 while 3 and 4 face off and then the winners of those face off in the finals? You guys have a belt to!? good shit! you guys should hold tournaments more often. What does 2nd and 3rd place get? trophies? money?

Sam
04-26-2007, 07:41 AM
Winner of bracket 1, faces winner of bracket 2, There will be a tourny every two months, next Date is June 30, "Last Man standing #2" were we will crown 139lb &below 200lb-235lb and Absolute Champions, Same format & also a 4-8 Women bracket challenge, And before the year is done we have talked w/some schools and some have comfirmed that they will be involved in our 4tourney "last Team Standing" Challenge , were the winning School can recieve a great prize that every gym would love to have.
