On May 8th, at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino you were scheduled to take on Mickey "D" Martinez. This was going to be a awesome fight. Tell us about why this fight was cancelled and if it is going to be rescheduled?

Hit Boy:
Ill keep it short and simple, Sept 25th has been the date set for me to send Mickey "D" Martinez into retirement infront of his hometown!!

you said you were weighing 270 at 1 time . What was your weight when you took the fight with Mickey "D" and would you have made 175 in time for the fight?

Hitboy:
I would of made "170lbs" with no problem, a high calf and bicep injury had prevented me to train at a high level for over a month and a half, my team had no idea I was injured, I tried to hide it as much as I could for fear of the fight being pulled, it was at the advice of my conditioning/boxing coach a good friend of mine James Fanshier that convinced me it would be in my best interest to post pone the fight to a later date.

what is your current health and physical condition?

Hit Boy:
Since the fight has been re-scheduled I have taken the last 2 weeks off of camp to re-focus and allow my body to heal. My diet has actually improved and I am eating better than I was while I was training for the fight.

You were also scheduled to fight for Gladiator Challenge on My 18th. Has that fight been cancelled also?


Hit Boy:
To be honest I had the toughest time securing that fight, I gave them over 3 months to send me a contract/confirm details, and to this date I have not gotten any confirmation/guarantee that my opponent was willing to step up and fight me. I wanted to fight one person and one person only PALIKA DRUMMONDO!! that fight was scheduled to take place at a catch weight of 175-180lbs. "PALIKA IF YOUR OUT THERE? STEP UP MY FRIEND AND LETS GET THIS THING GOING! PICK AN ORGANIZATION AND ILL MEET U IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING/CAGE!!" ( I would like to add that out of respect for the PFC and having to reschedule the May 8th fight, I decided that I would not fight on May 18th for Gladiator Challenge)

Mickey got his 15 seconds of fame at the last PFC boxing show. For some reason Mickey got the bright idea to bad mouth me infront of over 2,000 fans? That was a joke! So to tell you the truth, if he were to call in id hang up on him, the only time I want to say anything to him is when I offer a toast at his retirement party!!

Since your fight with the "Hit Boy" Has been pushed back to september are there any plans to fight any other opponents between now and september?

Mickey "D":
Yes there is but i don't know until may 8th at the PFC.

Is there any animosity between you and "Hit Boy" or is the hype just built up by the PFC forums?

Mickey "D":
The thing between me and "HIT BOY" was just HYPE until he open his mouth. SO now its a must be a WAR fight because I gave him two chances and I'm tired of excuses.

When the fight with "Hit Boy" does happen in september what kind of fight can we expect. A war or a strategic Battle?

Mickey "D":
YOU KNOW A BLOODY WAR OR JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE OFFICE BEATING SOMEONE UP.

Your last fight was at Gladiator challenge against Porterville's Mike Duran where you came out victorius. Were you expecting such a battle against him or did you go in knowing it was going to be a tough fight?

Mickey "D":
I was expecting a tough fight because of his weight.But you know I'm always up for a challenge to see where i'm at. Yea i know i was going to win because he don't train like me.

What is the one thing you would like people to know about Mickey "D" Martinez?

Mickey "D":
I'm a proud father of 7 kids that are my pride that no one can take away from me. I train my HEART OUT for one reason to get what I want. I'm a crazy indian from the Tachi Tribe in Lemoore CALi. Im always in a good mood and I don't trip off anyone's bullshit. I'M ALSO A BIG FLURT WITH THE LADIES BUT I ALWAYS PUT A BIG SMILE ON THERE FACES

I'm pretty sure the fight will actually have to take place before any of the things you say you're going to do can actually happen.

All we hear on these forums is how you hype fights that never happen.
In the time you've been on the WEC/PFC forums how many fights have you actually had, compared to the actual amount of fights you've had that haven't happened or that you've pulled out of? It's a legit question. I'm not trying to get you all butt-hurt, I'm just over all of this. All of this being the games you play. It's the same thing over and over.

How many times have you said you won't see me until... then you're back the next day and suddenly a fight is off but you're still talking shit. How many more chances should all of these people give you? I think the PFC is foolish to keep playing your games. You have not backed up a single thing you have ever said. Ever. The attention you bring is all negative, like it or not.

Ur entitled to your oppinion....as for the pfc there is more going on behind the scenes that any of you will ever know....or care to know....there r 3 fights i have been approached with one was with the rhino and the other was ento and now mickey...so not sure what ur refering to...but really doesnt matter does it.....the negativity comes from the haters i only respond to them...at the same time what none of you realize is that this is bigger than just the readers on this forum...only a handful post on here but trust me alot more read whats going on in here...so i can care less what anyone says on this forum..its just to bad that those that send me supporting messages via private message dont speak up more..if they did you would think differently....no one wants to piss off the pfc gods...so no one really speaks their true feelings on here...but i appreciate the observation...and if the pfc thought like you did they wouldnt have came to me for this fight..and yes they came to me....

Thank you JT...its one thing to have the support of the fans..but to have the respect and the support of my peers means most to me..I am sure I could walk into 90% of the gyms in california and be welcomed....it amazes me to hear from differant camps inviting me to train and offering their help to me, it amazes me to get phone calls/e-mails/text messages from web sites, news media/ asking to do interviews, it amazes me to get calls from business that want to sponsor me, it amazes me to still have the haters hatin...all of this and I have not fought in over a year??...when I ask the question "WHY ME?' the media says because you have a "personality" and that gets people talking...so the mor haters that hate just keeps my name in the public spotlighth..be it good or bad...so ill sit back and relax and let the haters do the work for me....
