Thanks guys. I have always been a boxing fan since I was a little kid. Growing up in Niagara Falls (Little known fact: I went to school with Rashad Evans family) I played more basketball and baseball than anything but I was always around the boxing program at the local Boys Club. It's kind of always been something I wanted to do and through the years I've spent time on and off training and working out and what not.
I decided that if I ever want to test myself then I better not waste more time. I'm 33 now. I am looking at this as a definite way for me to have to motivate myself to get back into shape first and foremost.
I will be making my professional boxing debut in Iowa in December, the date is tentative. I will probably do something sappy like have my wife keep a video journal of me and my progress as a way to be able to leave a memory for my children and their children, etc.
I have no aspirations of anythign more than one bout and definitely do not claim to be the next anything..it's just something I want to do for me, so I don't ever look back and say I wish I did.
I have told the Promoter I don't want to be paid one penny for this, though I would like a very nice steak dinner the night before and a case of coronas some limes and some tapatio after the fight and I'm straight. It is Iowa, so I probably will have to bring my own Tapatio huh? :)
I won't be making a big deal out of this but I appreciate the support and encouraging emails and messages I've recieved since I kind of broke the news last night.
Take it easy and don't forget to get your PFC 2 tickets starting at 10AM on February 19th! Don't be left out of this one.
Peace
Christian

That's awesome Christian, only one thing missing. The corona and lime with tapatio sauce needs to be topped off with a shrimp and some salt!!! Good luck with your match, by the way for all of you who don't know this, Jacob Jeffs birthday is on Monday Feb. 12th

The Buffety Warrior is entering the ring! Props! (ie. Leave your personalized, gold leaf plated, monogramed, oversized silverware --is it still silverware if it is gold plated?--at home)
Hey, in honesty, he might not be Bob Sapp, but who would want to look across the ring and see him as an opponent? Not good to the Psyche. (Oh shit, he's not only going to eat my kids, but they're just appateizers! * large bucket of Ranch dressing instead of a spitoon in his corner *)
Hey TattooSpirit, shoot me an Email about some work...my evil lil girlfriend somehow deleted all my old ones.

Christian one good thing that comes out of taking this fight is it will save you alot of money. Instaed of buying that Harley or the convertable for you mid-life crisis you take a fight instead. Do I sence a new trend happening here.
Tat2spirit thanks for spilling the beans on my birthday. I was born on Honest Abes Birthday, that explains why I'm so honest.
