He talked more smack on the WEC forum then anyone. Said he would "punish and humiliate" Josh Green, Tosh Cook, and ROYCE GRACIE! He said bjj sucks, and his tkd is the "most complete fighting style in the world".
Josh tapped him in under a 2 minutes.
Things got pretty heated between him and Tosh for about a year before they fought. Troy had one of his schools across the street from Tosh's school. Troy even said that their fight should be the "battle for Clovis, loser closes his school and leaves town".
Tosh took him down, mounted, beat the crap out of his face, and RNCed him in about 90 sec...

wow. i sw the photos on sherdog. looks like tosh beat him pretty good. tkd is some good stuff if its used properly. but you need to be more rounded for the cage.

You have to feel sorry for the guys who study the traditions martial arts like TKD, Ti Chi, Kempo, Shotakon, etc. Imagine dedicating decades of your life to learing "self defense" and having it turn out not to work very well compelled to other available styles like Muay Thai, Wrestling, sub grappling, and BJJ.
Granted, the cage takes away the Patrick Swayze "rip out the throat" Roadhouse manuver, Eye poking, and "the crane" has proved less than effective... and ... well.. tries to take the groin strikes away, albeit unsucessfly on many occasions.
The life long practictioner of TMA's seeing the more effective cage arts must be the equivelant of Einstein on his death bead and finding out that .......E DOESN'T = MC Squared!
I would put my money on a guy with one year of sub grappling and/or MT over a TMA guy with 5+ years in a heartbeat!

I'll take HB by upper thigh combo, leading to a rear naked choke/head blubber smother.
This fight is kinda like figure skating, where you really wouldn't admit to watching it, but on occasion there's a hot Russian with a really slutty name pulling her leg over her head as the camera man zooms in on her very accesable vagina and you want to see it. Nobody will admit that all the shit talking has drawn interest to the fight, but it (unfortunatly) has. Chalk this one up to the media/forum.
It is quite sick of me, in a demented sort way, but I will admit, I want to see HB v WMD Miller. Maybe the TKD guys will pull out the little drum/ping pong ball things from Karate Kid 2 or 3 or something and root him on.

HB: How come no WMD Miller fight. Honestly, I would have my money on you, and I'm not a Troy hater, dude been cool to me.
And to the board in general--
I do talk some smack, but if I really upset somebody, or go outside the bounds good fun, I have never failed to stop. I've sent messages to fighters/fans making sure (Troy, Bullet, some others) making sure I didn't cross lines, and left some issues alone for a couple fighters. In general, if someone takes offense, let me know....

alot of people punk troy miller, you know what i talked to him at the vfc smoker, the guy is all right. i think in all we can all be cocky at times, troy just has faith in his skill........a good fighter should, if not you shoulden't fight. as for fighting troy miller......go to you tube type in vfc smoker troys fight is on there....on tough hawaiian kid got the wrath of the leg kicks....heard that shit in the parking lot, then troy knocked the man out cold. i think when we use the word 'humble' we forget what it means to be so......every dog has his day

I had a chance to speak with troy at a wec show recently. The dude was respectful, kind, well spoken, and just a regular guy. His lady was pretty freakin hot too. We talked a little after his fight with poppies. He seemed very humble and took the loss like a true pro. bullet

Without a doubt, Troy gets over bashed. He is a likable dude. Hell, I was the one who helped him take of his shin pads after the Murphy fight at VFC. Me and Troy have an understanding, he's a good sport about about jokes, and I agreed not to breach certain subjects, like family. Alot of the people I bag on, I do it within the limits of what they are cool with....then afew others I push the envelope. Then again, I somtimes piss off people I was joking with, and not harm was intended.
For God's sake, where is Crowbar! Somebody needs to send him an invite.
